If you use Sodium to boost your FPS but noticed that some of your other mods have broken textures or aren’t working right, you probably need Indium. This is a simple addon that adds support for the Fabric Rendering API, which Sodium doesn’t handle on its own in older versions. It basically acts as a bridge, making sure that mods like Continuity, LambdaBetterGrass, or Create can render their custom blocks and models correctly while you still enjoy that massive performance boost.
The best part is that it doesn’t really affect your performance at all, so you don’t have to worry about losing frames. Just keep in mind that you need to have both Fabric API and Sodium installed for it to do its job. Also, a quick heads-up: if you are playing on the very latest versions of Minecraft (like 1.21+ with Sodium 0.6), you might not even need this anymore since Sodium finally started including these features built-in. But for most modpacks, it’s still a total must-have to keep everything looking perfect.
