Get ready to meet the Burrowers, a whole new group of people hiding deep underground. This mod adds a hidden society of distant Villager relatives who have adapted to the darkness like molemen, tunneling around, hoarding resources, and building entire villages. These new settlements are the main event, generating deep beneath Taiga biomes with tons of rooms and secrets to find, making caving way more exciting. The Burrowers themselves are a bit shy and might run, but if you hold any fruit, they’ll stop and even trade unique items with you, like Dweller Dung which you can use to grow new ore veins.
The mod brings in a bunch of new stuff to discover in these underground homes, like Tough Roots for a new wood type, and items for crafting new foods like Cave Stew. You’ll also encounter new mobs, including the neutral Silver Dwellers, which are bigger Silverfish that eat stone and spit out the smooth version. Watch out for the Chief Burrower too, the wealthiest one in town who has a special trade menu with exclusive, useful loot like Ender Eyes or the new “Placebo” music disc.
