Enhanced Hordes mod completely upgrades several mobs, making them much smarter and more dangerous. Zombies are now a serious threat because they can climb on top of each other to reach you, so hiding up high isn’t safe anymore. They also get faster when they’re on fire and can spread that fire to other zombies just by touching them, quickly turning one spark into a huge horde. Plus, they can even dig up other zombies from the ground, which is just terrifying.
It’s not just Zombies, either. Mobs like Skeletons and Piglins are much more intelligent. Skeletons will put away their bows to avoid hitting their friends and will dash away after punching you before quickly re-equipping their bow for another shot. Even the Iron Golems get an upgrade to deal with these new hordes—they can hit multiple enemies with one swing, are highly resistant to damage and effects like Wither, and will naturally heal when it’s safe.
